Student died in motorcycle accident

I was going through my Facebook status when I stumbled upon a shoutout from one of my friend that reads, 'Pelajar Maut – Diseret 200 Meter Di Bawah Bas Ekspress'. I think about a week ago the same news already appeared making headlines in the newspaper (the unfortunate student was from UiTM Shah Alam if I'm not mistaken). I always remind my younger brother to drive (or rather 'ride') safely because he always travels from Kelantan to Kuala Lumpur (back and forth), and sometimes from Kelantan to Kuantan on his motorbike. Traveling long distances by motorcycle is very risky since you are always at the mercy of other road users (esp. cars, trucks, lorries etc). Sometimes even I did not notice motorcyclists passing through especially when they are in the blindspot region. Nonetheless, his fondness to cover long distances with his moped still remains intact despite the news of fatal accident involving motorcyclist. I wonder if riding is all that fun that it is O.K. to compromise on safety.

Breastfeeding calls...

Currently, I have to postpone my weight loss program as I need to breastfeed my baby. I am trying to continue breastfeeding my baby until she turns 2. After reading an article from Baby Center, the diet regime have to wait until my baby could consume solid food which is another 2 months.

Some useful tips and infos from the articles:
i) Don't count calories

Women who are breastfeeding needs about 200 to 500 more cal than moms who aren't (mean a minimum of 2,000 to 2,700 calories per day). So, hunger and craving could act as a guide to how much food we need to consume.

ii)Aim for slow and steady weight loss

We must Lose our pregnancy weight gradually. It takes almost ten months to a year to return to our pre-pregnancy weight. Celebrities have their own personal trainer to calculate the safe calories and exercise they need to do.

iii)Choose good fats

Limit saturated fats and avoid trans fats

iv)Eat fish

Eat up to 12 ounces of most types of fish and seafood per week, including salmon, shrimp, lake trout, tilapia, and mackerel.

v)Drink plenty of water and limit caffeine

When you're breastfeeding, your body needs about 16 cups of total fluid per day.

I hope all mommies out there would find these tips and infos useful.
